We had a real problem horse who started playing with the bit, putting it up and over several times while just leading him. He then began doing it during his work and on race day. We’ve been using the best tongue control lugging bit for eight months and the transformation has been remarkable. Previously stewards and vets had noted our horse had been displacing his soft palate during races.

Since introducing this bit and removing the tongue tie, his breathing has been perfect and there has been no displacement of the soft palate.

Tongue ties are no longer necessary, as research indicates they may lead to displacement. Horses can resist tongue ties by bulging their tongues back, potentially causing displacement. We highly recommend this bit to anyone with similar issues
